Research market "regiosuisse" in Lucerne

07/07/2010: The research market "regiosuisse" will take place on 1 September 2010 in Lucerne together with a conference on regional development. The theme is "Policies with a Territorial Impact: Synergies and Conflicts". The subject is the New Regional Policy of Switzerland in the context of current spatial planning, economic, agricultural and environmental issues.

The New Regional Policy of the Alpine country has a focus on the economic development of rural regions. Regional development in this case has a wider scope and covers an entire range different policies - in additional to the NRP, above all, spatial planning, agriculture, tourism, financial support for business locations, and landscape and environmental policies. The event will address and discuss the synergies and conflicts of the policies mentioned. Potential participants have various options for actively taking part in the event.

They can present their organization at an attractive booth.
They can propose a subject for a moderated discussion at a theme table.
They can present their latest research findings as poster or paper presentations to an expert audience and publish the results in the conference documentation.

The registration deadline for speakers is the 15th of June 2010; registration deadline for participants is the 15th of August 2010.
